Install timing light on top plug. Full throttle. (hold it there so it won't come back on it's own) Someone at the key or a jumper box/lead. Turn motor over and point the light at the timing mark. If the timing needs to be at 32 then it should be set at 30.

Replace the drain plug after first coating it with teflon tape or anti-seize compound. The forward plug is fill and the rear plug is vent.
